In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share a few things that I have learned from my wonderful mother:
- Everything will work out in the end. There will certainly be bumps along the way, but the result will be worth it.
- Nothing in life is free. You need to work for what you want.
- Reward yourself; you’ve worked hard.
- Your wellbeing comes before everything else. Not work, and not school, but your own mental health.
- Laugh often. And then laugh some more. It is the best medicine, after all.
- There aren’t too many things that wine and chocolate can’t fix.
- Do things one at a time to prevent feeling overwhelmed.
- Save early. Even if you’ve just finished school, you’ll thank yourself later.
- There’s no such thing as too many Christmas cookies.
- The most important thing in life is to be happy.
I love all of these tips! Especially the “there’s no such thing as too many Christmas cookies” 😋😂 These are all such great tips to live by.

Every year my mom makes enough cookies to feed a family of ten! Then, of course, I’m sent home with tins full of them!
