This past week, Mother Nature granted my area with 90 degree temperatures. I’m usually not into hot temperatures, but after what felt like a six month winter, it was wonderful. I was able to wear dresses and open toed shoes, and didn’t even need to worry about wearing a jacket when I left for work in the morning.
But now that it’s back to seasonable temperatures in the 70s, I wanted to keep the feeling of summer going with one of my favorite summer flavors– watermelon. Here is a drink recipe that will keep you cool and refreshed all summer long.
Prep Time: 5 minutes | Servings: 1
1 1/2 cups of diced, seedless watermelon
Juice from 1 lime
1/2 cup of ginger ale
Lime wheel for garnish
- Put the watermelon, lime juice, and ginger ale into a blender. Liquify until well blended.
- Using a strainer, strain the pulp from the drink.
- Pour into a glass, garnish with a lime, and enjoy!
